Spring Has Sprung We welcomed back all our students and jumped right into our routines. It has been like Christmas over here, the district has continued to buy us many new items for us to explore and learn with. Just to name a few items, we have a washer and dryer that stack, Melissa and Doug grocery store complete with a checkout stand, and a life size wonderful wooden doll house. This week we did many activities centered around gardening and being a gardener. All of these activities are helping us gear up for our “Very Hungry Caterpillar,” unit next week. Where we will be growing live butterflies over the next couple of weeks. Next Week:

“Teaching kids to count is Fine, but teaching them what counts is best.”
Happy Spring Break! We will see you all in a week. Enjoy your time with your little one either out of town or at home. This week we had a great time building a fish-tank and voting on a name and color, to add a little science and math into our stations. We also learned all about Veterinarians and role-played what we learned in a station. These past few days have felt like beautiful Spring days, a nice break from the rain. Hopefully it lends itself to a beautiful Spring Break!
“Today you are you that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than you!” (Dr. Seuss) We had a great week celebrating Dr. Seuss and learning all about our community helper the fireman. Thanks to Mrs. Donna we even got hats, badges and stickers from her son Josh, we learned about fire-trucks and fire- safety. To thank Josh and all the fireman we made a card with our thumbprints, so they could hang it on their refrigerator at the fire station. We received two new dress-up outfits that the kids had fun with, a scientist and hairdresser kit. We had a new student join us this week, Isaac, who all the children adore. To top off the week, we had one of our board members, Mrs. Amy Eoff read to us Friday. Next Week:
