“I call my students “My Kids,” because in our year together they aren’t just names on my class list. They become part of my heart.” What a great 2018-2019 school year! We grew a whole lot, learned routines, academics and most importantly how to be a good friend. To the ones going to new schools, I know you will still be in good hands because we are part of the Germantown family. To my returning students, I can’t wait to see how much you grow over the summer. To all my families, please enjoy your summer and take in every moment. I’m sure like motherhood, the days might feel long, but I’m sure we will blink and it will be August.
Wait did someone just say we only have one full week of school left. Where did the time go? This week we had a wonderful time walking to each station, representing a different career area. We saw a swat vehicle, weather station equipment, and even a MLGW machine in action. Who can forget the fire-truck our favorite.
The day after we had a perfect day for field-day! This included two bounce houses, water table and sand table. All of us came in ready for our pizza party. To make it an even better day, Anderson’s grandma came and read to us. She also brought us gold-fish to indulge in to go along with our ocean theme of the week. Each day we did an activity centered on the ocean theme. I hope you all enjoy your Mother’s Day! What a past week, thank you to all of our families who donated to the PTO, in order to help us teachers have such a wonderful week. We are truly blessed by the Farmington family. Thank you for the personal gifts that you brought in as well, it truly touched all of us. Our butterflies came out of their cocoons right in front of our eyes, during Thursday’s morning group. One day we also swung on the new large circle swing at the new playground, we all loved it! We also did lots of practice on identifying our ABC’s in different contexts.
