homelearningchoiceboardsforpreschoolprekandkinderdistancelearning.pdf Good Evening. I hope everyone is hanging in there and that you are staying safe and healthy. As I find resources, I am trying to send them your way. We are meeting tomorrow, Monday March 30th, as a preschool team, so we are hoping to have more information regarding our future at home and what that might look like. Next week we will set up a Google Hangout that way your child can see us teachers and they can each see their friends as well. Above are a few more resources you can use in the meantime. Thank you to all of you who participated in our World Down Syndrome celebration from home. As we sprung forward this last Sunday, I think all of our gears have shifted to Spring! Spring brings new growth and new life, it also brings about almost ending another school year. I cannot believe the time is almost here, stay-tuned for updates about Field-Days and End-of-the-Year Programs. As our minds shifted to Spring, we began our lesson on, “Nature All Around Us.” We talked about flowers and plants and went through the steps of planting a seed. This week we also got to meet some new friends, who might join us next year as typical peers. We also had a silly leprechaun visit our classroom and he made kind of a big mess. He also left us chocolate coins though and told us to have a dance party! This week we also go to celebrate Miss Anna’s birthday! Our hope is that we will return after Spring Break as scheduled and that the World might have some comforting news about the Coronavirus. With that said though, be on the look-out for any news coming from the school regarding updates on the virus. We hope you all enjoy your Spring Break and enjoy every moment with your little ones.

“OH! THE PLACES YOU’LL GO! You’ll be on your way up! You’ll be seeing great sights! You’ll join the high flyers who soar to high heights.” This week as you see from our pictures, we celebrated “Reading Across America.” Each student had a lot of fun learning about Dr. Seuss. Every activity we did this week centered on honoring this great author. Thank you for your participation. Next week we will be starting our new unit, centered around, “Nature All Around Us.”

This week we wrapped up our discussion on our “5 Senses,” “Healthy Eating,” and “Safety.” The last week of our unit we focused on safety and talked about environmental signs, items that you need to wear on different vehicles and safety rules on our playground. Next week before we move onto our next unit, we are going to spend the week celebrating “Read Across America.” Next Week:-
“Most of what children need to learn during their early childhood years cannot be taught: it’s discovered through play.” – Ruth Wilson

We also explored everyday food vs. sometimes food. Next week will be are last week discussing safety and healthy living. “What did one blueberry say to the other on Valentine’s Day?” “I love You Berry Much.” What a fun week. This week we continued to talk about our “5 Senses,” through fun activities. Throughout the week we talked about a very special topic, about how we can show “kindness,” to the World and to our friends at school. Thank you for participating in our Valentine’s Day festivities. We loved seeing all of your creative boxes and the love that you poured into making their Valentine’s Day holders. Us teachers would also like to thank you for all the loved you poured into us teachers this week and the goodies you brought us. Also thank you for the Valentine’s you brought to each of your child’s friends. I appreciate each of you who took time out of your night to come to a Parent Teacher Conference on Thursday. Next Week:-
As we embark on another week, we are entering into the oh so fun, “Valentine’s Week,” or how some of our littles say, “Heart Day.” Throughout the week we will also be sharing about “Kindness,” as the school celebrates it school-wide. This last week, we had a lot of fun experimenting with our “5 Senses.” Hopefully we brought the topic alive to your little ones. Next week we will continue our theme on being healthy, with “Kindness,” sprinkled in here and there.
